WERSTERN REGIONAL CAMPUS
Pokhara is famous not only as a paradise of tourism but also as a seat of grand academic endeavors where scholars and students from different parts of Nepal get together in search of technical knowledge. The Paschimanchal Campus (WRC) is the result of all these endeavors in the field of propagating tech-knowledge in Nepal.
Paschimanchal Campus (WRC) is situated in the northern part of mega-scenic Pokhara valley. Getting the assistance of refreshing roaring music of Seti River, continuous eyeing of Mt Machhapuchhre along with other neighboring Himalayas features WRC as a part of heaven. The contribution of surrounding green mountains is no less in this regard.
The initiation of the Paschimanchal Campus (WRC) in pokhara under the institute of Engineering (IOE),Tribhuvan University can be considered as a revolutionary step towards meeting the demand of technical manpower in the field of engineering for the development of the nation.
Paschimanchal Campus (WRC) is located about 200 Km west of Kathmandu spreading on 312 ropanis of land in the beautiful Valley in western development region of Nepal. The WRC in Pokhara of IOE became operational from1987 with assistance from the World Bank and UNDP/ILO. Initially various trades and technician courses also were offered at this campus along with diploma courses. At present, it is offering diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics. Automobile, and Computer and Bachelor's Degree program in civil engineering, electronics and electrical engineering has been started. The performance of our students over the past years is very encouraging as compared to that of other T.U. affiliated campuses.
